Located in Inverness, Florida, the quaint, English styled Crown Hotel welcomed guests for just over two decades. But the building has a rich history dating back to the late 1800's where it began as a general store. Soon after, it was transformed into the Orange Hotel. In 1965, new ownership brought a new name; the Colonial Hotel. And by 1982 it was renovated and re-branded as The Crown Hotel. Today the building serves as an assisted living facility.
This site was created as an historical record of the hotel's journey through the years; sort of an e-museum. It is a gift not only for the proud residents of Inverness but for all the guests and employees the hotel has hosted over the years.
